COVID-19 PLAN

All in-person event attendees are required to be vaccinated.
If you have not already submitted your Covid Vaccination records please see our Covid Policy for more details. You can also physically verify your vaccine card with a valid Photo ID.

We will have Hand Sanitizer available at high traffic areas such as the Public Works and Ops. Masks will be optional until further notice.

During your Casting Time, you will follow the instructions of the Settings Guide on where to put dirty, used clothes and masks for them to be properly sanitized and clothes washed.

All updates to our policy follow the mandates of Massachusetts for events in person. Should an update occur, we will change our policy as needed.

Fire Plan

Campfires are permitted on site at Camp Marshall only in designated Fire Pits. Once a fire is lit it must be attended at all times until it is completely extinguished. Before starting a fire you must have water/sand to put it out.

Camp Marshall is subject to burn safety regulations, so fires may not be permitted at all during designated dry months

If a mod or combat comes by that requires you to step away from the fire; the Guide with the mod will come over, take over responsibility for watching the fire, and you can step away to join in the combat.

In the event of an unattended fire pit with no water/sand bucket nearby or a fire that a fire extinguisher cannot stop, leave the area and immediately locate any DRMA guide or employee. Do not return to the fire or attempt to rescue any belongings, we value your safety first.

Flood Plan

Immediately go to higher ground, whether it’s up the hill or by the parking lot area near the road. If you are separated in the woods, try to get up to the top of the hill and locate a DRMA Guide or Director. Do not attempt to swim in the waters for risk of injury of debris. Rushing waters can pull cars or debris, and sweep dangerous chemicals and waste and exposure can be very dangerous.

Do not remain in any buildings if there is an emergency, unless instructed to do so.

In any emergency situation, a Guide will call Hold to get the attention of nearby players and instruct them in the direction they need to remove themselves. Do not continue to remain in-game and continue your activities unless the Guide was given instruction to release the hold call. We do this to ensure our players are safe.

Contacting Employees
Onsite

During the event, there may be a necessary situation where a certain employee is needed. There should never be hesitation to contact us, however if the customer service desk (Ops or Post Office) has the capabilities of assisting you, use the resources here to help!

Here at Dystopia Rising Massachusetts, we utilize a walkie talkie system. Ops, Post office, One Employee and One Rules Guide will always have one walkie on them in case of communication needs.

In the event you need to contact someone, have a guide call on the walkie.

Kitchen Policy

There is currently no kitchen available in the Community Center.

There will be a large refrigerator and freezer for everyone to store their personal food.
And there are plenty of outlets available inside for appliances— DRMA will be providing a microwave for public use.

Camp Marshall has also given permission for players to bring their own outdoor cooking appliances (grills, etc) so long as they are only used outside and on the cement pavement.

Sleeping
Spaces

Our sleeping space cabins are rented on individual basis, if the available amount of beds per cabin are not enough for the number of our players, we can add additional cabins. Please contact a Director if you find that all of our available beds are full!

Beds are first come first serve; but we will do our best to ensure everyone has a bed who needs one.

We will also have a designated Medical Sleep. If you need access to this space, please email dystopiarisingmass@gmail.com. No doctor’s note is required, but please let us know in your email what/if any specific needs you have so that we can try and accommodate them for you, and everyone in need, as much as possible (including things like # of med sleep beds needed, electrical access for medical equipment, etc).
