Quarters of The Oldest Port

The below Quarters are the ones that have opened up their doors for Player Characters to come visit via the CAPs Perk System. By utilizing the CAPS Perk, you can visit the Quarter between events and you will get a small blurb about your time there. Please see the requirements to submit this request on the CAPs Page to ensure you have enough CAPs and send in the request in a timely manner. In Lieu of a blurb, you can also request to use this “visit” to get a research opportunity as visiting a Quarter may open an opportunity to research things outside the bounds of play during an event. You must put in your request that you are utilizing this Perk to do research instead of obtaining a blurb. Finally, perhaps in the future you may learn about other Quarters and they may open their gates for visitors…

Amity Quarter

This Quarter is primarily made up of Quiet Folk. A community that came to The Oldest Port just prior to the citizens of The Grove came as they foresaw the future dangers and took the offer quickly. Their Quarter is a very large forest next to The Crow’s Nest where homes are given their own privacy and a town center is set up in the center of this Quarter for group affairs. Their homes are made of wood and intentionally use the trees, foliage, and moss to cover their homes further camouflaging them. If you’re not careful you will walk through this Quarter thinking it is just a forest. This Quarter functions almost entirely on small controlled fire for their sources of light, fearing electricity and the needs of it will require too much that may attract too much attention. Do not underestimate a single Quiet Folk from this Quarter as they are very capable of defending themselves and causing more violence than you can imagine. Only to disappear very shortly after ensuring the need for violence is quelled

Cliffside Tops Quarter.

This Quarter is the Central Quarter of The Oldest Port and home to important documentation of this settlement. The primary strains you will encounter here are Pure Blood, Bay Walker, Red Star, and Iron. As its name implies, this Quarter is on a cliffside that can oversee most of The Oldest Port and is safest from threats from all directions. This Quarter is home to the Headquarters of The Townie’s and The Devoted’s Departments. Also, found in this Quarter are the libraries and records that pertain to the history and documentation of The Oldest Port and The Council of Paragons.

Progress Quarter

This Quarter is primarily made up of Irons with very very few of any other strains. This Quarter came to The Oldest Port when the citizens of The Grove were welcomed here and brought by The Nomad via ship during the war against Carrion. This Quarter has quite the fighting force as during the war they were advised to focus on combat drugs to enhance themselves and were led by the Iron named “21” to victory. This did lead to the loss of the other leader, the Iron named AL, who you will find a statue of him erected in the Quarter’s Center with the phrase, “In service in life, in service in memory. We care for all. Thank you AL” This Quarter has a large population of Light of Hedon worshippers who carry their beliefs whether you worship or not. This population works very hard during when they need to and enjoying life’s pleasure when time allows.

Sunken Fort Quarter

This Quarter is primarily made up of Digitarians, Retrogrades, and Remnants. A “Working” Quarter as people view it, most of the population here works on the docks. The Nomad and their Department consistently dredge up ships from the sea, bring it to the docks, and the populace open them up to salvage whatever they can find.  This is also home to The Mutant’s and The Elitariat’s Department’s Headquarters. This Quarter frequently must deal with the tide coming in and out so it is almost impossible to not be wet with sea water wherever you go. This group of people are nothing to spit at as they deal with the threats from the sea, sunken ships, and the tribulations of the weather.
