Dystopia Rising: Massachusetts is a part of the Dystopia Live Larp Network.

DR:MA maintains a Code of Conduct/Community Guidelines to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all who attend. Our base guidelines prioritize respect; fair treatment towards one another; and separation between real life and game conflicts.

Bigotry and Harassment of any kind is strictly prohibited at any/all of our events. By participating in a DR:MA event, you agree to abide by our Guidelines and Policies.
Failure or refusal to follow our Guidelines and Policies may result in Corrective Actions, or removal from the event.

Anti-Harassment Policy

Harassment is defined as unwanted or unwelcome conduct that creates an environment a person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Verbal Harassment: Offensive comments, slurs, jokes, or epithets.

  • Visual Harassment: Displaying offensive images or symbols.

  • Online Harassment: utilizing digital platforms to abuse or intimidate (eg. cyber stalking, bullying, doxxing)

  • Physical Harassment: Assault, unwanted/non-consensual physical contact, or impeding movement.

  • Sexual Harassment: Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature.

    • The topic and narrative usage of Sexual Assault and Harassment are explicitly banned from all Dystopia Rising and affiliated events, both in and out of character. There is no instance in which a plot or module will touch on these topics, and any use of it is strictly forbidden within the Game Running Rules and Guidelines. Likewise, during any and all Player Interactions, either in character or out, at no time should Sexual Assault be used, mentioned, alluded to, suggested, paraphrased or highlighted. Violations of this rule will be dealt with harshly and the Offender likely removed from the event. Repeat Offenders will not be welcome at events, and notice may be sent to other Dystopia Rising Branches.

  • Discriminatory remarks or actions based on protected personal traits including: Race, Gender, Sexual orientation, Religion, Disability.
